Smaïl Benhamadi, a Driving Force Behind Regional Development

Born in 1955, Smaïl Benhamadi holds a degree in Economics, providing him with a strong foundation in management and strategy. An accomplished entrepreneur, he founded several companies in the construction sector, including ALTRAPCO, now recognized as a national benchmark. Alongside his business career, he became involved in politics early on and was elected Member of Parliament for Bordj Bou Arréridj Province in 2017, reinforcing his role as an influential regional political figure. Following the death of his father, Mohamed Tahar Benhamadi, he joined the BENHAMADI Group’s Board of Directors in 2019 as an active board member. While he does not hold an executive position, he contributes to the group’s strategic governance.
